This crowd-pleasing style of juicy Malbec comes from the sought-after, high-altitude slopes of the Mendoza Valley in Argentina. Baya Morada shows deep hues of purple in the glass with ripe blueberry, strawberry compote and hints of oaky spice on the nose. It has a rich and layered mouthfeel with soft tannins and a long, harmonious finish. We recommend pairing this with grilled dishes - whether that is earthy vegetables like aubergine and mushrooms, lamb chops or a hamburger fresh off the BBQ!

What our expert thinks...

From vineyards nestled under the mighty Andes in Argentina's Mendoza region, this Malbec is a bright, vibrant friend at any gathering. Its round, fruity character evokes blackberries and a hint of vanilla, making a wine perfect for a dinner of grilled lamb or pork or simply savouring while watching the sunset.

Deep purple, blueberry and strawberry compote with a curl of oaky spice. Soft tannins, long finish this is the wine equivalent of a good hug. Made for anything off the barbecue, from lamb chops to a slightly overambitious burger.

First bottle of Warehouse Wines we've tried and how pleasantly surprised we were. Malbec is our favourite red and this excels, on a price basis it is outstanding. It's very smooth and has a deep red colour and good plummy, berry flavour. Highly recommended.

Just what I would expect from a smooth Malbec - a hint of spice to the wine.
